This timeline traces what some elite players did during the pandemic pause and what stories occupied the tennis world in the absence of competition. At the bottom of the timeline, I included a sort of alternate timeline. The "eras" at the bottom show spring and summer tournaments as they were originally scheduled. They remain on this timeline as palimpsests on which the intervening stories are written.
